About the role Position: Container Repairer Join Our Team We have an opportunity for a competent/experienced container repairer to join our busy high performing team based at our Christchurch depot.
If you have related trade experience, are experienced in steel cutting, painting and light fabrication and will hit the ground running, then we want to hear from you Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am - 5.00pm and Saturday as required 7.00am -12.
00pm Location: Woolston, Christchurch Status: Full-time with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week W hat Youll Do The purpose of this role is to repair rusted or damaged containers, flat racks and other equipment in accordance with approved repair estimates and IICL/industry standards. Some of your responsibilities will include: Conduct effective repairs as instructed by Depot Management to industry standard, client criteria and applicable regulatory requirements. Using appropriate methods of cutting, joining, assembling, bending and straightening, painting and foaming.
Provide the appropriate level of care of all Company property including refrigeration equipment, plant and tools. Undertake all training relevant to the repair of containers as required by Depot Management. What We Need: We are seeking applicants with experience in shipping container repairs, to be successful in this position you must have the following: Minimum experience of WELD301 Intermediate welding Certified or Competent Intermediate Welder Experience with steel cutting, painting and light fabrication Shipping container experience (container industry preferred) Full Class 1 Drivers license Willingness to travel for training Perks & Benefits: Free Southern Cross Health Insurance (after 6 months) Training and development opportunities Career growth in a NZ-strong company Why Qube?
