FT Permanent job with an adult mental health service dedicated to Pasifika people in Auckland. This is an exciting opportunity for an adult general psychiatrist to work with the Pasifika community mental health service in metropolitan Auckland. It is ideal for a psychiatrist with an interest in cross cultural psychiatry and the motivation to provide expert mental health services to the Pasifika peoples and their families.
The team comprises both Pasifika and non-Pasifika staff, clinicians, cultural support workers and matuas who share a passion for supporting Pasifika people, their families and communities through their recovery pathway. Key Responsibilities assessment, diagnosis and treatment plan formulation for patients referred to the service work 40 hours per week Monday - Friday in the community mental health service on call duties covering general adult psychiatry education and supervision of junior doctors Requirements for applications for this job For your application to succeed, we will be looking for the following criteria in your CV and profile: Medical Degree FANZCP or equivalent specialist postgraduate qualification in psychiatry Eligibility for provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand Remuneration and Benefits If successful in your application for this position you can expect the following terms of employment: salary on the national pay scale for senior medical officers which ranges from New Zealand dollars 190,000 to 270,000 per annum additional payments for on-call and over time duties six weeks paid vacation per year additional expenses for study leaf recompensation of expenses of medical registration a generous relocation allowance to help you move with your family to New Zealand sponsorship for a visa.
