Description About the role Permanent Part Time position. 13 hours to be worked 8.30am - 4.

00pm Monday to Sunday as rostered. SPCA Centre Christchurch. Your enthusiasm and dedication will see you Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors, volunteers, foster parents, colleagues and stakeholders Be our go-to people-person for the animals and community Respond timely and professionally to calls, queries, emails with accurate and helpful information Work to ensure that the reception is operating in an effective and responsive manner, ensuring best animal outcomes Process animal adoptions including discussions with potential adopters to match the right animals with the right person Triage animal ambulance calls Be able to jump in and help where required across the centre What we need from you Have excellent communication and customer service skills, be solutions focused with a positive can-do attitude Have previous customer service experience ideally within an animal-related organisation Understand animal welfare (animal handling experience or qualification would be advantageous) Demonstrate empathy and resilience Have excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise and effectively manage workloads Have strong administration, computer skills and merchandising experience Working with the SPCA offers numerous purrrks: Have the privilege of making a difference to the welfare of animals across New Zealand Great purrks including a paid day off on your birthday.
