The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is the heart of Aotearoa New Zealand's cyber defence. We fulfil the cyber security responsibilities of the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) | Te Tira Tiaki, to detect and disrupt high-impact cyber threats for nationally significant organisations.

You will be part of a close-knit unit, tasked with effective engagement across the industry and wider organisation, by providing investigative incident response and digital forensic services to victims of malicious cyber activity in New Zealand. Whilst this position is not super technical, you can expect to have a case management approach, offering immediate guidance to victims, with frequent stakeholder engagement.

Your work will culminate in the production of high-quality reports and briefings for the consumption of senior stakeholders and technical specialists. Key responsibilities * Production of high-quality reports and briefings * Documenting response options and operational plans * Steer the course of an investigation * Stakeholder management * Cyber incident coordination * Maintaining an understanding of the cyber threat environment Who we're looking for As this role acts as the primary point of contact for victim organisations and internal stakeholders, we need someone who is comfortable working collaboratively. Confident written and oral communication skills are essential as you will be required to document response options and operational plans.

You will also have: * Highly developed relationship management skills * Presentation and public speaking skills (desirable for Level 2, expected for Level 3) * Analytical skills and an understanding, or willingness to learn cyber security concepts The right person for this position will be a self-starter, confident and be able to take initiative.
