Management Level Senior Associate Job Description & Summary Ng Krero mo tnei tranga / About the role: In this role you will assist with analysis, investigation and management across a range of formal insolvency, restructuring and debt advisory engagements. BRS provides commercial and practical advice to companies in distress to facilitate a turnaround or improved performance as well as independent business appraisals, cash flow forecast reviews, and contingency planning advice to banks and other lenders regarding their distressed exposures. BRS also manages a portfolio of liquidations, receiverships and voluntary administrations.
You will work with team members at all levels within the national BRS team and have a high level of direct client and stakeholder contact. Responsibilities will include: Restructuring Advisory Engagements Work on strategic restructuring projects, using your analytical skills to quickly assess business performance and identify key financial drivers, risks, and opportunities. Assist in developing and implementing actionable recommendations for business turnarounds.
Establish trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders including management, employees, and creditors. Insolvency Engagements Oversee a portfolio of insolvency cases, supporting practitioners in navigating liquidations, receiverships, and administrations. Engage in the management of assets, correspondence with stakeholders, and detailed financial analysis.
Prepare essential financial statements and statutory reports, ensuring compliance and effective recovery processes. General Develop, build and manage relationships with referrer networks to continue to deliver and identify business opportunities. Assist in developing and coaching more junior members of the BRS team.
Manage team relationships and workflow across the national BRS team and delegate tasks appropriately. Ng pkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience: Tertiary qualification with an Accounting, Commerce or Law background with a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a corporate or professional services environment. At least 1-2 years of insolvency experience preferred.
A strong grasp of standard business processes and stakeholder management, along with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills are essential. Resilient and flexible to work collaboratively and autonomously across a fast-paced environment.
