We're looking for a Delivery Manager - Projects to join our Southern Contracting Division. This role can be based in Palmerston North or Masterton, depending on the right candidate. The role: As a Delivery Manager - Projects, youll drive the growth of a profitable, sustainable, and competitive contracting unit.
You will lead the way in achieving safety, operational, and performance targets while spearheading significant improvements in quality, productivity, and safety. Youll work closely with internal teams, the network owner and subcontractors, local authorities, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. Your responsibilities will include: - Ensuring all operational, regulatory, and customer requirements are met or exceeded.
- Leading a team of Project Managers, providing supervision, support, and development. - Managing workloads, productivity, and project delivery to meet performance goals. - Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Driving team productivity and maintaining a steady forward work pipeline. - Identifying opportunities for process improvements, enhancing quality and safety. - Ensuring compliance with all HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality, Environment) requirements.
- Maintaining accountability for Northpower's property, plant, and equipment. About you: Were after someone with strong leadership skills, commercial acumen, and a passion for driving operational excellence. You will: - Have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant industry experience.
- Proven experience in electricity distribution in NZ - Competency in financial management and in managing projects - Demonstrate proven experience in managing teams and delivering projects effectively. - Possess strong time management, self-management, and prioritization skills. - Showcase exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written).
