Stand at the stern of the canoe and feel the spray of the future biting at your face M te tnga | About the role With a primary hub in Wellington, and a presence throughout the country, NZ Police ICT delivers new and enhanced solutions directly and through specialist vendor partnerships.

We provide expert advice on how technology can be leveraged to support Polices strategies and turn concepts into reality through collaborative development. We are currently seeking a DevOps Engineer to be the glue between developers and our back-end systems/teams. As the DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with product teams and improve collaboration between our development and Infrastructure teams with a focus on enabling faster, safer, and more reliable releases.

Key Accountabilities: * Provides advice to the relevant Product Managers and Technical Product Owners on the ongoing strategic direction to improve the platforms and the team capabilities and capacity. * Works with Architecture, Network and Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams to ensure the platform is aligned to ICT strategy and standards. * Leverages the visual model-driven environment including features, logic, connectors, templates, modules, and configurations for efficient application development.

* Works with internal business customers to understand problems and design solutions using low-code platforms. * Works with other leads and management to build a strong development team, understanding future work and required capability for successful delivery. * Stays up to date with new and upcoming features on relevant platforms, with the intent of introducing them to the Police platforms when appropriate.
