Te Tpapa Kura Kinga - The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) leads Aotearoa - New Zealand's housing and urban development work programme. M te tnga | About the role As Director, Te Tai Tokerau, you will lead a team to identify, assess, and monitor the delivery of housing solutions inTe Tai Tokerau, ensuring these reflect the needs and aspirations of Te Tai Tokerau, and align to national strategies, plans, and settings.

This includes: Lead the development and implementation of approaches to execute the Ministrys national strategy, settings and plans in places, ensuring housing solutions and plans are fit-for-purpose and value-for-money Lead strategic stakeholder engagement in Te Tai Tokerau, ensuring the Ministry is working effectively across the system to influence housing and urban development outcomes, including engaging and partnering with iwi and Mori in places to deliver housing outcomes for Mori Work with communities inTe Tai Tokerau to build a shared strategic understanding of the local environment, needs, aspirations and opportunities Ensure needs assessments, and options and feasibility analysis inform housing solutions and commercial arrangements in Te Tai Tokerau Work across the group (via a matrix management model) to source and lead the required capability and capacity to achieve expected place-based outcomes Lead efforts to gather and share up-to-date data, information and insights around what is happening inTe Tai Tokerau, to inform system-level policy, strategy, performance monitoring and reporting Identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities, and lead appropriate responses, acting as a point of escalation for the resolution of issues within Te Tai Tokerau. Ideally your skills and experience will include: Experience in working with communities and stakeholders in Te Tai Tokerau to achieve organizational or government priorities Proven people and operational leadership experience, ideally in the public service Sound business acumen, with proven experience developing and delivering plans and processes that are aligned to organisational priorities, and driving change A proven ability to build and lead inclusive and diverse teams, and creat.
