About the role Are you passionate about helping others succeed? We're looking for a caring and motivated Disability Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis paying $23.

81 per hour, located in Huntly. In this role, youll walk alongside our tauira (students), providing tailored support both inside and outside of the classroom including during wnanga and noho marae. Your mahi will empower tauira to achieve their goals by: Typing, notetaking, and helping them engage with learning materials and online tasks Coaching them to break down assignments and understand academic requirements Strengthening their skills in independent planning and time management Encouraging meaningful connections with Kaiako (teachers), peers, Tauira Services, and the wider learning environment No two days are the same youll work across various hours during the academic semesters, including occasional after-hours and weekend noho support.

You will also bring with you: A tertiary qualification, preferably with a qualification above the level of tauira you are supporting A relevant Teacher Aide Certificate, desirable Previous Teaching Aide experience preferred Experience in a pastoral role, coaching, mentoring, support, or teaching advantageous but not essential As a kaupapa Mori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of huatanga Mori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.
