Educator Waitangi Treaty Grounds Reporting to Lead Educator People Are you passionate about education, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, the unique history of Aotearoa, and te ao Mori? The Waitangi Treaty Grounds invites applications for a dynamic Educator to join our Learning Team. This is a special opportunity to help shape how our nation's founding story is shared with konga (students), adult learners, and visitors across Aotearoa and beyond. About the Role: As an Educator, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver engaging education programmes that align with the New Zealand Curriculum | Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, Te Aho Matua, Te Whariki and reflect the spirit of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Youll contribute to LEOTC-funded initiatives, support public programmes for konga (students), and engage adult learners through innovative and relevant educational experiences that foster deeper understanding and connection. You will work collaboratively across teams to uphold our values and mission. Key Responsibilities: Deliver LEOTC education programmes grounded in the NZ Curriculum | Te Marautanga, Te Aho Matua and Te Whariki.

Develop and deliver learning opportunities for adult learners, including public programmes, workshops, and community engagement. Create both online and in-person educational resources. Facilitate public education programmes for children and adults.

Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, adult education providers, and learning networks. Contribute to developing innovative educational experiences that reflect national and international interests. Support guiding and curatorial teams as needed.

You will bring: Our ideal candidate will have: NZ Teacher registration with 5 years of experience in education, and/or working with adult learners. A deep respect for and understanding of te reo Mori and tikanga. Experience designing inclusive and engaging learning experiences across diverse age groups.

Strong communication, facilitation, and organisational skills. A passion for bringing history to life in relevant, inclusive, and inspiring ways. A collaborative spirit aligned with our values: Manaakitanga, Tika, Whakarite, Whakarereke, Rangatiratanga, Kaitiakitanga, and Whakamanawa.

Desirable: Fluency in Te Reo Mori Digital skills and learning delivery experience Experience in heritage and cultural sector Familiarity with bicultural and adult education frameworks.
