Description Te Tranga/ About the Role Silver Fern Farms Takapau have an opportunity for a skilled Engineering Manager to join as a senior leader on site. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for both maintenance and capital engineering for the entire site including all services, equipment, building and fabric. You will lead the plant reliability strategy and capital investments required to reduce operating costs and deliver the operations strategy.

You will lead a highly capable team of engineering staff to ensure the day-to-day functions are organised and prioritised effectively. Your ability to build strong relationships and engage teams will be instrumental in your success You will partner with stakeholders in the leadership team to implement process improvement initiatives as per the company streamline continuous improvement program and promote a performance-based culture that encourages safe manufacturing excellence. Te Mahi/Key Responsibilities Providing leadership direction to the site to achieve daily production targets whilst developing a positive team culture Providing leadership and professional guidance to members of your team Develop, implement and maintain a high level of plant reliability through cost effective preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns and organisation of maintenance work to avoid lost production Provide engineering support to ensure health and safety, hygiene, regulatory, customer and environmental compliance are met for the plant In conjunction with Site manager, design and maintain a financial budget for your area of responsibility.

Regularly audit plant engineering policy, guidelines and procedures to ensure best practice is maintained Champion continuous improvement u Pkenga/ About You You will be a strong leader with a driven approach to work. Your previous experience in coordinating multiple tasks will be essential because of the busy nature that this workplace will provide. Previous experience within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment will be advantageous.

Hold a tertiary engineering qualification in a relevant field of engineering Strong people management experience including coaching, staff development, recognition and motivation Strong planning skills and experience with CMMS, ideally MEX Project management experience with a demonstrated record of success A proven track record of results and continuous improvement in industrial engineering or related roles Experience in Quality Risk Management processes Strong financial, PNL and KPI exposure in past roles and a proven ability to attain targets and adhere to budgets and relate this to your team on a day-to-day basis. Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for providing a quality service to both staff and suppliers alike across diverse teams and in time precious environments.
