Ka tono matou i o tono. We are seeking an Executive Assistant to support the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Mori). This role provides confidential and high-level secretarial and administrative support services, across a range of complex issues, supporting a busy senior leader.
You will be working as part of the Divisional Services and Administration team, flexibly providing administrative services across the University. Divisional Services and Administration is a team of highly skilled professionals responsible for delivering outstanding student and staff experiences through high quality operational management and administrative support services. We are a strong supportive whakawhanaukataka (community), proud of the work we do as the largest workforce in the university, spanning every corner of the motu.
Te mahi/The role In this role you will: Be the point of contact for the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Mori), anticipating needs, and analysing and assessing requests in order to screen and prioritise urgent matters. Troubleshoot and initiate action to facilitate resolution and problem solving in a culturally sensitive manner. Represent the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Mori) and their staff throughout the University and the wider Mori community.
Draft, prepare, coordinate and review information, high-level communication, and documents on a range of matters. Complete diary management, correspondence, meeting administration and organising travel arrangements. To be successful in this role, you will also have: Proven experience working in an administrative/secretarial role in a busy or complex environment, with experience supporting a senior manager/executive an additional advantage. A passion for delivering exceptional service. An ongoing commitment to positive outcomes for our staff and students.
An understanding of Te Ao Mori, tikanga and mtauranga, or a commitment to learn and incorporate these values in your work. Understanding and appreciation of Mori aspirations in the Aotearoa New Zealand context will be beneficial. Te reo Mori oral and written skills are advantageous, but not required.
