Job Description Are you an experienced and keen 2IC/Farm Manager looking for a great opportunity next season with a 280 Friesian herd? Ohaupo based (between Hamilton and Te Awamutu) Progressive, learning environment working with the farm owner and farm consultant to maximise KPIs and farm productivity in every way Landview Farms is 85ha, milking 280 Friesian cows through a 28aside Herringbone shed. The Farm is spring calving with a calving date of 15th July. Operating on a system 2 -3 and growing approx.
10ha of maize annually, there is a support block for grazing of young stock of 20ha. As an integral team member, you will share its values and bring a number of great qualities, including: Knowledge of farm operating systems and the ability to lead the farm when required. Easy and proactive communication, Landview Farms enjoy taking an active part in Open Days, Owl Farm and other industry led discussion groups.
Ability to measure, manage, collect and report the critical data that links to farm performance and compliance with an attention to detail and competency in farm technology. High standards ensuring a clean tidy farm and happy healthy cows If you have already undertaken some ITO training thats great, if not Landview Farms are happy to encourage you to get this underway and grow your career, while growing the farm This position comes with a 11 on 3 off roster, a three bedroom brick home, including a woodfire, heat pump and a swimming pool. Excellent schooling nearby at primary and secondary level.
