Fixed-term, full-time (15 months) competitive remuneration and benefits Location: Upper Hutt, Wellington Career development: Gain valuable experience and grow your expertise Supportive environment: Work with a collaborative, professional team Key Responsibilities: As a Finance Associate, you will support the New Zealand operations within the Australia and New Zealand cluster, partnering with the Finance Business Partner and Business Unit to provide essential financial services and analysis. This includes: Customer Onboarding & Engagement: Collaborate with finance, BSC, and Customer Effectiveness teams to manage customer onboarding, engagement, and credit terms.
Ensure accurate subscription revenue recognition, manage balance sheet deferrals, and perform monthly reconciliations. Maintain clear documentation to support adjustments to revenue or customer receivables under the subscription model. Financial Analysis & Reporting: Support the Finance Business Partner with periodic financial analysis to enhance decision-making.
Contribute to process improvements by simplifying, standardising, and automating manual steps. Help ensure financial controls are upheld, maintaining accuracy and integrity in monthly close processes. Operational Support & System Proficiency: Develop expertise in financial systems and applications, including SAP, Local Planning Tools, and database tools.
Provide additional support during peak periods, including assisting the Australian Finance Officer. Be prepared to travel a few times during contract to support business units in other locations (Sydney).
