Description Te Tranga | About the role While this role sits within our Group Finance function and reports to our Head of Planning & Performance, your day-to-day work sees you operating at the heart of the business, partnering closely with stakeholders across multiple functions and business units. As Financial Planning Manager, youll lead the delivery of our core financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across the Silver Fern Farms Group. Youll take ownership of systems, models and timelines that enable these processes to run smoothly, while providing clear, insightful financial commentary that helps inform senior leadership and board-level decision making.

This is a role for someone who thrives on complexity and consistency. Youll work within structured monthly and quarterly planning cycles, with a strong focus on accuracy, reliability, and process discipline. You'll be a trusted connector of people and information, ensuring financial insights understood, actionable, and valuable.

Youll also take ownership of system improvements and play a key role in managing the data and modelling tools that underpin our financial processes. From internal management packs to external stakeholder planning and reporting requirements, youll ensure we stay aligned, integrated, and on time. This position would ideally be based in our Dunedin or Christchurch Hubs, but we will consider applicants located in Auckland as well.

u Pkenga | About You Youre an experienced financial professional who enjoys building clarity out of complexity and who takes real ownership of the planning and forecasting cycle. Youve likely worked in a large, multi-functional business where coordination, consistency, and strong communication skills are critical to success. While holding a CA/CPA qualification is a strong advantage, just as important is your ability to manage structured processes, translate numbers into narrative, and bring people with you across the planning cycle.

Ideally, you will be: A confident and collaborative communicator who builds trusted relationships Autonomous, accountable, and structured in your approach Professionally qualified (CA/CPA or equivalent) or experienced in a senior FP&A or management accounting role A strong user of planning tools and models, particularly Excel, TM1/Planning Analytics, and Power BI Skilled in interpreting financial data and providing clear performance commentary Experienced working in or with complex business units or matrixed organisations Naturally curious and always looking to improve systems, tools, and workflows Tono Mai | To Apply Keen to Create Goodness through financial leadership?
