About the role We now have an exciting leadership opportunity in the Community Development team leading the Environmental Science team based throughout New Zealand. In more detail the role involves: - In conjunction with NZ CD Regional Director and the team, lead the establishment of short, medium and long-term strategies - Meet or exceed CD Environmental Science Team net profit - Ensure there is an appropriate level of qualified and experienced staff employed in the Team - Ensure that the personal development needs of all members of the Environmental Science Team are being addressed.

- Develop and implement strategies with senior staff members and other Stantec staff to continue a sustainable, market leading business - Drive the business development activities of the group as a whole - Ensure that the local internal and external business development strategies align with the national sector strategies - Enhance and build quality relationships with new and existing clients to ensure profitable repeat business To be successful in this role you will be: A recognised leader in the industry with 12 years of experience ideally in a consulting environment, someone who leads from the front, is resilient, and works hand-on to ensure we deliver excellent outcomes for our clients. It goes without saying that you will have strong commercial and business acumen combined with an inclusive and proactive leadership style. Along with your leadership experience, you will be highly connected within the Environmental Science / Consulting sector and experience in achieving agreed revenue, profit, and utilisation targets through delivery of complete and accurate work on time and to budget is crucial as well as achieving agreed business development goals through optimum utilisation of group and company resources.
