Job Description The Role In this vital role as Health, Safety Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Advisor youll be responsible for providing functional support, assistance and advisory services to operating units to ensure management and workers are aware of their obligations in relation to quality systems and statutory compliance relating to HSEQ. Youll assist Branch Managers and where required Regional Managers in the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the Integrated HSEQ Management System processes relevant to their operating unit. What Youll Do Develop & Maintain: Implement HSEQ policies, procedures, and management systems to ensure compliance and best practices across all sites.
Audit & Assess: Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and drive continuous improvement. Train & Advise: Deliver training and provide expert guidance to all employees, championing a culture of safety and responsibility. Investigate & Improve: Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, providing actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Report & Analyse: Monitor HSEQ performance, prepare insightful reports, and drive data-backed decisions with leadership. Collaborate & Influence: Work cross-functionally to integrate HSEQ considerations into daily operations and strategic decision-making. Stay Ahead: Keep up with evolving regulations and standards, ensuring WM New Zealand remains a leader in HSEQ compliance.
