The Role | M tnei tranga mahi This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm, from our Thorndon office across the greater Wellington region.
Joining a highly skilled and passionate team that shares a strong sense of social justice, youll work in partnership with other agencies, who are working in the housing and health space, to support people into a permanent home. Your priority will be to work alongside people with housing needs who require your support to housing stability. This will involve managing the complexity associated with working with people with high and complex needs, often living with intergenerational challenges, mental health, addiction and trauma issues.
Youll work within a housing first philosophy while also ensuring we meet the outcome and expectations of our stakeholders and partners. You | Mu You must hold a current full New Zealand drivers licence. You must hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
An understanding and commitment to the principles of recovery. Applicants must hold the New Zealand Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent. Alternatively, you will commence study towards this within six months of starting your employment with LinkPeople.
This needs to be completed within two years of commencement. LinkPeople offers significant support for Housing Case Workers to complete this study. Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and working with Mori and Pasifika.
