SUMMARY The HV Electrical Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing the construction and installation of high-voltage (HV) electrical systems at our Solar Farm project in the Te Aroha, Waikato Region (Elecnor New Zealand Limited), including managing the construction of power transmission lines, substations, and other essential electrical infrastructure , ensuring that all work is executed safely, follows design specifications, and meets industry standards. In addition to managing electrical installations, the HV Electrical Site Manager will work closely with the civil construction team to integrate electrical systems with the overall site infrastructure. The role requires a combination of site management skills and technical expertise in high-voltage electrical systems to ensure the project stays on schedule, within budget, and fully compliant with safety and quality regulations.

THE ROLE Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of high-voltage electrical systems (transformers, switchgear, substations, transmission lines).
Ensure electrical work is completed on schedule, within budget, and meets project specifications and quality standards. Manage on-site electrical teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth operations and timely task completion. Conduct regular site meetings, walkthroughs, and provide technical guidance on high-voltage systems and safety protocols.
Enforce adherence to high-voltage safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures and proper use of PPE. Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations to mitigate risks. Monitor and enforce quality control to ensure proper installation and performance of electrical systems.
Perform inspections to ensure compliance with local and international electrical codes and project specifications. Develop and manage detailed work schedules for high-voltage tasks, adjusting resources to meet project milestones. Track project progress, forecast material and equipment needs, and coordinate supplier deliveries to avoid del.
