Elecnor New Zealand Limited is seeking an experienced HV Electrical Superintendent to oversee and manage the electrical operations of our New Zealand Project in Te Aroha, Waikato Region . The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems and equipment are installed, maintained, and repaired in a safe and efficient manner. The HV Electrical Superintendent will also be responsible for managing a team of electricians and ensuring that all work is completed on time and within budget.

THE ROLE Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment Manage a team of electricians and ensure that all work is completed on time and within budget Develop and implement electrical maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and safety of all electrical systems and equipment Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and implement effective solutions Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of electrical equipment and supplies Provide technical guidance and support to electricians and other staff members Develop and maintain electrical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance records ABOUT YOU Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-voltage electrical installations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
In-depth knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems, including 33kV reticulation, substations, and transmission lines. Strong understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards for high-voltage environments. Proven experience in electrical testing and commissioning, especially for HV systems.
Valid certifications related to high-voltage electrical work (e.g., HV certification, First Aid, Electrical Safety Standards).
