The Opportunity This is a key role for an experienced hydraulic service technician to support a long-established engineering and servicing business. The role involves both workshop and field service work, including breakdown response and precision overhauls. Customers include industrial, marine, and food processing operators, providing varied and technically challenging work.

The successful person will be part of a team known for technical quality and customer service. This role requires a hands on, solutions focused technician who enjoys variety and working directly with customers. Responsibilities Diagnose, overhaul, and service hydraulic and pneumatic components including pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.

Complete jobbing and general engineering tasks including machining and fabrication. Provide breakdown support both on site and in the workshop. Assemble hydraulic hose and pipework as part of repairs and maintenance.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional workshop and worksite presentation. Experience Proven experience in hydraulic system maintenance, overhaul, and fault finding. Experience working on mobile equipment, marine systems, and food processing equipment.

Strong machining and general engineering skills, able to work independently on diverse tasks. Full New Zealand driver licence essential, with Class 2, WTR, and forklift endorsements an advantage. Customer focused and committed to high standards of workmanship and safety.
