What Youll Do GS1 NZ has multiple software-as-a-service platforms, which enable effective and efficient product data and content synchronisation throughout the supply chain. As the first dedicated QA team member, you will play a crucial role in defining the testing strategy, collaborating closely with developers, product owners and other stakeholders to implement robust testing processes. Our technology stack includes React on the frontend and C#, ASP.
Net (MVC and .Net Core) on the backend, with our systems currently undergoing modernisation on the Azure cloud platform. In this role youll drive improvements in product quality, lay the foundation for a scalable QA function and over time, have the opportunity to grow the QA team while embedding best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include: Managing and executing manual testing for new features and enhancements, ensuring high-quality user experiences. Developing our automated testing suite , currently built with Playwright, and refining it to cover key workflows and edge cases. Expanding test coverage by identifying gaps in our current testing approach and implementing new automated tests.
Collaborating with the development team to embed testing and quality practices into every stage of the software lifecycle. Troubleshooting and identifying issues , working alongside developers to diagnose and resolve defects quickly. Contributing to the continuous improvement of our testing processes , bringing new ideas and innovations.
