We are looking for an experienced Inwards Goods / Gantry Crane Operator to join our busy Stores team in Hornby.

Shifts: Mon to Fri, 4am - 12.30pm The key responsibilities in this role will include: Loading/unloading glass packs from containers and trucks as well as completing any necessary documentation Receipting goods into the system Ensuring all goods are labelled correctly and put away in the right place via the WMS (warehouse management system) Using mechanical lifting gear to store the glass in the right location Proactively supplying other departments with glass to ensure uninterrupted production. Regular monitoring of stock to ensure sufficient levels are maintained.

Ensuring bio security compliance is maintained to a high standard. Class 4 licence would be an advantage as we move glass across sites To succeed in this role you will had previous experience in a similar role devanning containers as well as the following attributes: Gantry crane license and experience advantageous (however not essential as we can train you) MPI biosecurity accreditation an advantage Warehouse management systems experience using handheld devices Strong health and safety focus, understanding and execution Good numeracy skills and understanding of English language Physically fit - you are on your feet for most of the day Flexible to work overtime or outside the stated hours from time to time So what's in it for you?
