About the role At Halter, we work at the interface where software meets firmware meets hardware, underpinned by deep data, to transform and improve what our customers (farmers) have been doing for centuries. We're looking for a junior firmware engineer to help our growth through multiple international markets this year. As an engineer at Halter, you will demonstrate ownership of the collar firmware through a deep understanding of your firmware requirements, functionality, and design, and see it through all aspects of its life cycle from inception through to mass deployment and maintenance.

Youll be working on the platform team, responsible for all aspects of delivering a highly reliable, fault-tolerant and monitorable collar, including ultra-low power design, communication, production support, in-field upgrade and monitoring. What your day could look like Hands-on development of firmware to improve product performance and deliver new features. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and deploy your work.

Build and maintain the infrastructure and support systems necessary for the worldwide deployment of our devices. Assess incoming support queries, troubleshoot firmware issues, and implement solutions to prevent future problems. Contribute to the continuous improvement of all aspects of our product development lifecycle and processes.
