As a leading recruitment agency, Adecco is looking for a skilled Machine Operator with prior machine operation experience to join our client's team, a top manufacturer in the textile industry specializing in high-quality carpet production. Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation & Maintenance: Operate tufting machines safely and efficiently, ensuring production rates and quality specifications are met. Monitor and adjust backing levels, yarn supply, and roll lengths, assisting with beam and creel changeovers, backing changes, and roll changes.

Conduct start-of-shift checks and perform regular quality checks, including stitch rates, pile height, and yarn supply levels. Report any mechanical or quality issues promptly and assist with machine repairs when necessary. Quality Control & Reporting: Inspect the carpet's face and back for defects, documenting and reporting any faults or repairs needed.

Ensure that the tufting process adheres to product specifications, recording any deviations or issues in the required sheets. Material Handling: Monitor yarn supply levels, assist with splicing, re-threading, and ensure proper setup for new product runs. Ensure the correct backing is used and aligned and monitor for any issues like creases or misalignment during tufting.

Housekeeping & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe work environment around the tufting machine, removing waste and hazards. Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of safety equipment. Collaboration & Support: Assist colleagues with machine adjustments, roll changes, and other tasks as needed.

Support the supervisor with additional duties, including tasks typically handled by service technicians when capable. Required Skills & Qualifications: Previous experience in tufting or similar machine operations is required. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address issues during production.

Basic mechanical understanding and ability to perform machine adjustments. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Physical capability to handle lifting and standing for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
