The Opportunity This is a key role in a growing food manufacturing business that has made significant strides in maintenance and asset management. The business has continued to invest in new capital and the site is focused on lifting internal capability, reducing contractor reliance, and embedding long term maintenance systems. You will take ownership of maintenance planning and play a lead role in developing the sites CMMS, MaintainX.

The groundwork is in place. Key assets are loaded, teams are using digital job cards, and stores integration is underway. Now the focus is on building structure, closing gaps, and making the system truly work for the people on site.

You will join a strong and collaborative engineering team led by a manager who values initiative and shared ownership. This is an opportunity to build on positive change and help the team keep moving forward. The Role This is a practical and people focused role that combines planning, system building, and collaboration.

Key areas of focus include: Developing and managing the CMMS including asset hierarchy, spares linkage, job standards, and SOPs. Planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance, working closely with production and engineering teams. Preparing documentation and parts kits to support effective job execution.

Coordinating contractors and managing site access, inductions, and compliance records. Working alongside stores and engineering support to improve parts visibility and reduce downtime. Supporting the day to day running of facilities, including managing the cleaning contractor.

Promoting a proactive approach to maintenance and asset care. You will also contribute to the sites broader continuous improvement efforts. This includes helping to build BOMs, develop repeatable job cards, and turn OEM recommendations into scheduled tasks.

The systems are in place, the next step is to embed and expand them. About You To succeed here, your technical skills must be matched by the right attitude. This is a team that values ownership, not hierarchy.

The person in this role will be trusted to get on with the job, stay connected with others, and help build a better way of working. You will bring: Experience in maintenance planning within a fast moving industrial or food manufacturing environment. Practical understanding of plant reliability, preventive maintenance, and how to read and apply OEM guidelines.

Strong working knowledge of CMMS platforms. MaintainX or MEX experience would be ideal. Skill in developing job cards, SOPs, and BOMs that are clear, useful, and easy to action.

Confidence coordinating contractors and communicating across functions. And just as importantly: You are the type of person others want to work with. Respectful, helpful, and calm under pressure.

You are proactive without being pushy. You keep people informed and bring others with you. You are organised, detail conscious, and willing to dig into manuals, data, or systems to solve problems.

This.
