Its primary aim is to enhance the communications capabilities of Emergency Services Agencies by delivering modern and secure communication services, including voice and messaging, while also facilitating improved communication among various emergency service agencies. About the Role We are seeking a Management Accountant to take ownership of financial reporting and budgeting processes across the product and services components of the PSN project.
This role is vital to ensuring the accuracy of invoicing, cost tracking, forecasting, and contractual reporting obligations. Working closely with the Project Accountant and Accounts Assistant, this role will ensure financial integrity, support compliance, and provide insights that support project success. In this role, your key responsibilities will be to: Manage month-end close and deliver management accounts, variance analysis, and KPI reporting Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with NZ IFRS Ensure compliance with all relevant tax obligations Develop and maintain forecasting and planning models Assist in the preparation of board-level reporting Maintain and improve accounting systems and internal controls Support system upgrades and process improvements Collaborate with Product and Services teams to ensure accurate financial performance reporting Support cash flow forecasting and assist the Accounts Assistant Prepare customer-specific financial reports and monthly payment claims per contractual requirements About You To be successful in this role, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field, and/or significant experience in financial or management accounting.
A CA qualification is preferred. You will also bring: 5 years' experience in financial and/or management accounting Strong knowledge of NZ IFRS and financial reporting practices Proven ability to develop forecasting models and conduct financial analysis Excellent attention to detail and time management skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration A proactive, solutions-focused mindset Experience with customer and contract-based financial reporting is advantageous Apply Now If you are ready to take the next step in your career and work alongside talented people who take pride in delivering great results , apply now!
