Are you a dedicated and experienced CA qualified Finance Manager looking to join a complex and rewarding public sector environment? Reporting to the Group Manager Corporate Services, this is a key role providing essential financial insights and strategic guidance to the Council and the Senior Leadership team to enable informed decision-making. K tnei tranga mahi | About this role You will oversee the delivery of efficient, high-quality accounting, financial, analytical, procurement, and contract services across the organisation. Your efforts will be essential in ensuring we meet statutory compliance and provide exceptional value for our ratepayers.

Moreover, you will offer strategic advice to the Council, the Chief Executive, and the Senior Leadership Team regarding the Councils financial landscape. You will be accountable for the financial components of the Long Term Plan, Annual Plans, and Annual Report. Your commitment will help us achieve our financial Key Performance Indicators and ensure we maintain statutory compliance with a successful annual audit.

In this role, you will oversee a great Business Unit of 20 team members and lead 4 direct reports consisting of Team Leaders in Revenue, Payables, and Accounting, and a Procurement and Contracts Adviser.
