SUPPLY CHAIN Rocket Lab's Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials, products, and components through the business.
With many of our own products functioning as critical components to our own and our customers' missions, the Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs. They set up the assembly kits that enables our technicians to put together our Electron rockets, manage inventory, look after shipping and receiving, manage direct and indirect procurement, and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard. They are the chain that links our teams together, and are critical to our success.
MANAGER - INVENTORY & LOGISTICS As Manager - Inventory & Logistics you will lead a team responsible for inventory controls & the daily execution activities of expediting, picking, packing, and local dispatch. We are looking for a hands-on leader to work directly with team members to maintain high Service levels to internal and external customers, order fulfilment, DIFOT, inventory accuracy and adherence to standard operating procedures. You'll be responsible for setting the tone, driving productivity, and ensuring deadlines and targets are consistently met.
This role is based in Auckland, New Zealand. However, will be responsible for sites across New Zealand. Ability to travel to other sites will be mandatory.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO: Lead, mentor, and develop a team responsible for inventory control and logistics. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track and manage stock levels. Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy. Manage daily operations including expediting, picking, packing, and local dispatch.
Coordinate with other departments to streamline processes and resolve issues. Maintain high service levels for both internal and external customers. Monit.
