M tnei tranga - about the role Working within the Equipment & Logistics Directorate of Fire and Emergency New Zealand, the Manager Regional Equipment and Logistics, based out of Rolleston but team is in multiple locations.

This role is a critical component for ensuring ongoing operational equipment capability and readiness assuring firefighter and emergency responder tools are suitable, available, and reliable so firefighters can operate safely and confidently. This role will require you to work collaboratively with frontline managers, regional and national equipment teams, and suppliers, amongst others. A large component of the work involves equipment asset management utilising associated enabling information systems.

There will be the occasional need to support major incidents either on the ground or at an operations coordination centre. Ko tu n i tnei tranga - What you'll bring to the role: Bring your operations management experience within an equipment and logistical perspective within a large and complex emergency services organisation. With both direct and indirect reports, you will have ability to lead with confidence and integrity while upholding Fire and Emergency values to propel, mentor and support your team, enabling them to thrive and be highly focused to deliver on organisational outputs.

Possess a sound understanding of equipment (assets, inventory, and consumables) lifecycle management. You will demonstrate strong coordination, organisational and relationship skills to proactively address and solve complex logistics issues in a timely manner. To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will: * Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and motivate teams in a positive and constructive way.

* Strong experience in a similar role delivering equipment related outcomes. * Sound understanding of asset management principles and systems, equipment interventions and emergency service equipment requirements. * Clear strategic planning and tactical application managing changing and challenging workloads, with competing priorities.

* Clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and written. * A valid driver's license (Class 2 preferred) and be willing to travel frequently regionally, and occasionally nationally.
