We're looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded individual to join our team as a Mechanical Assistant. This is a non-senior, workshop-based role ideal for someone with a couple of years' mechanical experience who's eager to learn and grow into a long-term opportunity. Key Responsibilities: Performing regular oil changes and basic mechanical maintenance Tack welding and occasional grinding/overhaul work Using tool presses and handling belts, spinners, and workshop tools Working at ground level - frequent kneeling and bending required Supporting general workshop tasks as needed Requirements: 2-3 years' experience in a mechanical or workshop-based role Mechanically inclined with a strong hands-on approach Willingness to learn - no formal engineering qualification required Basic workshop tool use; experience with welding is a bonus Own tools are advantageous but not required Reliable and looking for long-term employment What We Offer: Competitive starting wage with room for growth Pay increase to $32/hr once trained Stable, full-time role with long-term prospects Supportive team environment and practical, on-the-job training How to Apply: Send your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your mechanical experience to bdarling@adecco.
