If so, we invite you to express your interest in joining our rapidly growing mechanical team within our Water business. Roles are available across a range of levels from five years relevant experience through to highly experienced lead mechanical engineers, where your expertise will play a strategic role in enhancing our three water design capabilities. This role is open across New Zealand with all GHD locations considered which include Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Hawkes Bay, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Tauranga and Wellington.
Key Responsibilities: Investigation and Development : Dive deep into the intricacies of challenges related to water infrastructure, leveraging your analytical skills to develop robust solutions that address our clients' needs. Detailed Design : have a strong understanding of hydraulics, contribute to the design of sophisticated mechanical water systems and ensure seamless integration with multidisciplinary projectsparticularly in the realms of water, wastewater, stormwater treatment plants, and pump stations. Technical Proficiency : Utilise your expertise in NZ Codes and Standards to ensure compliance and quality across all projects, all while staying abreast of emerging industry trends and technologies.
Communication : Bring your excellent verbal and written communication skills to the forefront as you present ideas, share insights, and collaborate with diverse teams and clients to drive project success. Modelling and CAD Expertise : Whether through hands-on experience or leadership, utilize your knowledge of Inventor, AutoCAD and other relevant software packages to guide the modelling efforts of mechanical water systems, ensuring precision and innovation. Lateral Thinking : Employ your ability to think laterally and pragmatically, crafting effective project solutions that navigate challenges with creativity and insight.
Risk Management : Identify and articulate technical risks while developing mitigation strateg.
