SUMMARY We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Quality Engineer to join our team and support the successful delivery of a solar construction project in Te Aroha, Waikato Region, New Zealand. The Mechanical Quality Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing all quality assurance and quality control activities on-site, ensuring that construction works comply with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Working closely with the Construction and Engineering Teams, the Mechanical Quality Engineer will implement quality management systems, conduct inspections, and proactively resolve quality-related issues to drive project excellence.

THE ROLE Oversee quality assurance and quality control on-site, ensuring materials, processes, and final work align with project requirements and standards Develop and maintain quality management systems to meet both client and regulatory expectations, ensuring compliance at every stage of the project Conduct regular inspections, audits, and tests to confirm quality at each stage of construction, identifying and addressing issues proactively Collaborate with project teams, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve quality concerns quickly and implement corrective actions when needed Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ensure alignment with quality goals Monitor subcontractor and vendor performance to ensure adherence to quality standards and contractual obligations Maintain a culture of safety and quality by integrating health, safety, and environmental protocols into quality-related activities Keep organized and accurate records, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), test results, and final project documentation Perform root cause analysis on any quality issues, taking corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence Provide guidance and support to the projec.
