Medical Laboratory Scientist / Technician - Core Lab Fixed-term, Full-time Timaru Who we are | Ko wai mtou: Awanui Labs Timaru (previously known as Medlab South Timaru) is the provider of pathology services to the people of South Canterbury; providing pathology services to the patients of Medical Specialists, Hospital Clinicians, General Practitioners and Midwives. Awanui Labs Timaru is a part of Awanui Group (previously known as APHG), the largest network of human and veterinary diagnostics laboratories in NZ. About the role | M te tranga: Our Core Lab Department is currently looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and competent Medical Laboratory Scientist OR a Medical Laboratory Technician for a fixed-term, full-time position. You will be willing to learn new skills, work well alone and as part of a team. Extremely well-organised, detail-oriented, and friendly with a strong focus on quality and customer service.
The successful applicant must have a high degree of accuracy and be self-sufficient to excel in this role. About you | He krero mu To be successful in this role you will need: The ability to work in a methodical manner adhering to strict quality procedure guidelines. A team focus with initiative, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Excellent attention to detail, with good record-keeping skills. The ability to work independently and able to participate in on-call and out-of-hour shifts as per the roster provided. Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
