The Role & Duties Your role will report into the Network & Security Project Manager and provide support on a wide range of exciting new projects. The main project being delivered at the moment is a network security project relating to all the operational technology within the business. This project involves working with teams around the world led out of Australia, and in New Zealand working closely with a tight knit team of 4.
In this role you are also responsible for implementing, monitoring, and managing the local and wide area networks of an organisation to ensure maximum uptime for users. This position will involve supporting system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary. There is flexibility with working hours if commuting from Auckland CBD as long as you can still produce the deliverables required, however this is a predominately onsite role.
You will also participate in an on-call roster within a team of 4 (1 in every 4 weeks) as this site operates 24/7. We are looking for someone who is a well-practiced and ready to get stuck into new projects using new and exciting technology! Skills & Experience Network Security Expertise: Experience with tools such as Fortigate, CheckPoint, or similar is a must. Analytical Prowess: Your excellent analytical skills are essential for success in this role.
Technical Wizardry: Proficiency in at least two of the following technologies: MS Suite (MS Windows 2016, MS Windows 2019, MS Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS Terminal Server), Networking/DNS Services. Lifelong Learner: We value a willingness to learn and adapt, especially in our exceptionally supportive team environment. Certifications: CCNP, CCNA and firewall certs for Fortigate or Checkpoint.
Beneficial: Experience with OT highly desirable, however not a 'deal breaker'.
