The Role & Duties Your role will report into the GM of IT and provide support on a wide range of exciting new projects alongside keeping the business moving with BAU tasks. In this contract, you will be the sole network engineer in the New Zealand business, however being able to lean on the wider global team and vendor escalation.

This brings a lot of opportunity to make this role your own, and implement new ways of working with the networks & security. In this position, you are also responsible for implementing, monitoring, and managing the local and wide area networks of an organisation to ensure maximum uptime for users. This position will involve supporting system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary.

Design, validate, implement and manage network IT solutions to ensure their stability, scalability and security. This includes Enterprise backbone Firewalls Load Balancers Routers VPN solutions Wifi networks Project sites Actively participate to ISO9001 and 27001 certification maintenance Report on and manage infrastructure for corporate devices including: Asset Management License reporting Software deployment Remote support Assist in identifying alternative solutions for various business requirements Liaise and work with 3rd party suppliers and vendors Work with Enterprise IT and project teams to design and implement solutions for new initiatives to satisfy business requirements Provide support for branch site networks We are looking for someone who is a well-practised and ready to get stuck into new projects using new and exciting technology Skills & Experience Extensive knowledge of Firewall, Switching, and Wireless solutions Experience with switching and routing technologies, and network infrastructure design (BCF) In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and VPNs Hand on experience with firewalling (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet) & Load Balancing (HA Proxy) Ability to work in a global team, with strong communication skills Please note, this role is for an immediate start and requires something with NZ working rights.
