Description The Pacific Area Temple Manager is seeking to appoint a Housing Clerk. This is a permanent part-time position located at the Hamilton New Zealand Temple, and the successful applicant will be required to work on-site at this location. This position reports to the Hamilton Temple Recorder.
Under the direction of the Temple Recorder and the Housing Supervisor, this position will assist with Hamilton New Zealand Temple operations. Responsibilities As a Housing Clerk, you will instruct and perform defined tasks as outlined below: Liaising with patrons in-person, phone and/or email regarding Temple housing Answering questions and inquiries and managing bookings Preparing rooms for patron stays Attending to housing laundry needs General office and administrative services SCHEDULE: Temple Housing operates Monday through Saturday. Work schedules may be adjusted during maintenance closures, as needed.
Qualifications Six plus months related experience (understanding of MEWS and reservation processes, experience in housekeeping matters) Professional communication both verbally and written Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new programs as needed Good knowledge and working practise of Microsoft Office products Ability to follow policy and apply it to specific situations Ability to work well with others Has demonstrated and consistent excellence with customer service Must be able to lift 25 kgs; ability to bend, kneel, stoop, pull, push and perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment; must be able to stand for long periods of time Only candidates who have legal work eligibility to hold employment in New Zealand should apply.
