M tnei tranga - about the role Fire and Emergency are a self-managing employer in the ACC Accredited Employer programme. As part of the Safety Health and Wellbeing Directorate, the Principal Advisor ACC Accredited Employer Programme will undertake specialised analysis and prepare recommendations on continuous improvement of the programme.
You will analyse the financial and non-financial impacts and benefits, including reviewing both the strategic and practical aspects of how we implement a rehabilitation management programme to a standard which meets our obligations, and to the Employment Reimbursement Agreement, and the Illness Programme. This is a fixed term or secondment position until 26 June 2026. Ko tu n i tnei tranga - What you'll bring to the role: You will demonstrate a strong understanding of the Accident Compensation Act, the ACC Accredited Employer Programme, claims management and entitlements, and rehabilitation practices.
Bringing a passion for analysis, you will be adept at interpreting data and preparing reports and papers which explain complex information in plain English to senior decision makers. This is your opportunity to make a significant contribution to our organisation. You will have experience in a relevant injury management system, the ability to pick up new systems quickly, and build trusting relationships with key stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will have: * Expert knowledge of the Accident Compensation Act and ACC's Accredited Employer Programme. * Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret complex information. * A collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement.
* Demonstrated ability to work under tight timeframes and manage competing priorities. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. The salary range for this role is $136,874-$152,082 (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
