Job Description Join our busy Macraes Process Plant Operations team in this CIL Operator role. This position will work to operate and optimise process plant CIL (carbon in leaching) and Desorption circuit in accordance with critical variable sheet, training manuals and standard operating procedures. Reporting all unrectified variances to the Process Shift Coordinator in a timely manner.
Key tasks and responsibilities: Operate and optimise process plant CIL and Desorption circuit Assist with mechanical/electrical tasks as required ensuring maximum availability of the CIL and Desorption circuit. Including PM tasks, screen changes, kiln and heater repairs, pipeline repairs, pigging lines and adjusting glands. Assists in Gold Room and other areas when required.
When required ensure all permits are issued and closed off in a timely manner. Complete all relevant documentation to ensure accurate record keeping e.g.
log sheets, logbooks and checklists. Liaise with other operators, gold room staff and plant personnel to minimise downtime. Effectively completes a handover with incoming/outgoing area operators each shift.
Ensure all relevant information is communicated. Working to the highest safety standards..
