This contract role has arisen due to projects and increase in workload. The Role The role of Finance Business partner will report to a Finance Manager and you will be working with a number of other Finance Business Partners in the team. Your focus in this role will focus on; Business Partner with Project managers and stakeholders to develop project budgets, forecasts and cost estimates.
Analyse project financial data to identify any risks or opportunities and areas for cost optimisation Track project costs to budget and report thereon and make recommendations for any correction action Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for projects, including P&L, B/S and cashflows and present to stakeholders, both financial and non-financial delivering key insights Set up and maintain project accounting systems and processes and ensure data is captured to allow correct revenue recognition and cost capturing Report on WIP & progress on projects - ensuring all data is captured accurately to ensure project profitability can be reported on. Work closely with the procurement manager to ensure purchase orders are raised and managing costs Ensure compliance of reporting to accounting standards, regulations and policies and ensure internal controls are in place to ensure the financial integrity Conduct financial analysis of project performance, including identifying trends, patterns and opportunities Collaborate with stakeholders and act as the financial advisor on projects within the business. Your Profile We are looking for a well rounded Project Accountant / Finance Business partner who is ideally experienced in large-scale construction or IT projects.
You will need to demonstrate the following attributes: An ability to business partner senior execs and stakeholders with confidence An ability to bring a personable approach to the business whereby you can demonstrate finance as a value adding function Well organised and able to prioritise A questioning mind with an ability to analytically think Good written & verbal communication skills.
