The Opportunity We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our high-performing Project Controls team in Auckland. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure projects while providing expertise in procurement process, and converting client needs into contractual arrangements.

The role involves working closely with public sector clients, requiring a strong understanding of governance structures, commercial and contract models. We are open to this role being full time or part time for the right applicant. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight in project delivery, ensuring successful outcomes for clients.

Working closely with project team members to identify key project risks, and propose solutions to address these in the commercial arrangements. Develop and implement project plans and strategies to achieve client objectives, including procurement strategies, plans and processes. Assess and recommend appropriate contract forms, establish contracts, and manage them using a risk-based approach.

Negotiate and document commercial terms of contract in alignment with client risk appetite and direction. Ensure expenditures align with budgets and delegated financial authorities. Manage client relationships proactively, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded.

Lead meetings with both client and Frequency teams, providing clear direction and guidance. Manage and mentor junior staff, ensuring high-quality project delivery and professional development. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: At least 5 years of experience in project management or commercial management, including experience with procurement and contracts within infrastructure projects.

Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering (or related disciplines) or a strong background in commercial management or procurement with proven project experience The ability to translate high-level objectives into detailed work plans and effectively delegate tasks. Strong commercial acumen, including knowledge of different procurement and commercial models. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in client-facing roles.

The ability to self-manage workload and work constructively with clients to identify areas where additional value can be provided. A solid understanding of project financials, risk management, and scheduling. Experience in leading and mentor.
