We are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to take ownership of maintenance and industrial projects across Auckland and Northland. This is a hands-on role where you will lead the day-to-day operations onsite with a high level of autonomy, working closely with our operational teams and key clients in the oil & gas and defence sectors. You will report to the Project Manager but will act as the primary lead on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

What we are looking for: We are not looking for someone to simply assist, we are looking for someone to lead. This is a role for someone who can step into projects with confidence, manage operations independently, and take pressure off the senior team by running the show onsite. Youll need to: Take charge of day-to-day site coordination and resourcing Manage subcontractors and multiple trades Engage with clients directly on technical and commercial matters Oversee QA/QC, HSE, scheduling, procurement and cost tracking Identify and resolve problems proactively, keeping delivery on track The Role: Managing site personnel and subcontractors Achieving commercial project deliverables on time and within budget Cost estimation, programming, purchasing, contract administration Forecasting and reporting Quality assurance and environmental compliance Maintaining full compliance with HSEQ standards We Offer: A permanent full-time position; A competitive salary company vehicle for work use A global workforce of 3,500 which offers the potential to grow and develop your career Experience and training to progress your career in project management Frequent travel All the tools of trade you need to do your job Company laptop or tablet provided Up to 4% KiwiSaver contribution Healthcare insurance policy scheme A Safety-First work environment Requirements: Applicants must currently be living and eligible to work in NZ It is a particular requirement that the applicant be able to work on Defence sites A bachelors degree in civil or mechanical engineering 5-10 years of project experience for a contractor Previous experience as a site engineer managing discrete work packages Strong commercial awareness and client-facing capability Contract management and administration experience Experience using Procore highly regarded Cost estimating experience in the maintenance or construction sectors Scheduling with MS Project although Primavera P6 preferred Ability to travel for work as required by business demands Availability to work evenings and weekends as required by business demands A full New Zealand driver's license Excellent literacy and numeracy skills are required About Us SRG Global is a diversified industrial services company.
