Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity We have a Receptionist position available in our busy Emergency Department. The role is essential in assisting with the smooth running of the department.

) Mu | About you Skills and experience youll need to be considered for the role: Previous reception, administrative and/or customer service experience Ability to work in a high stress environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to prioritise and manage a variety of tasks Ability to work as part of a team Other essential attributes include self-motivation, initiative and flexibility in an ever changing fast paced environment Experience working in a medical environment or knowledge of medical terminology would be preferable M ttou Ratonga | About our Service Thames Hospital is a fully modernised rural and secondary hospital service, providing healthcare for a catchment population of 45,000. Our hospital provides a 15 bed consultant-led emergency department seeing 18,000 patients per year which is supported by 24/7 laboratory and radiology services, including CT. The inpatient unit has 48 beds split between general medicine, low acuity surgery and rehabilitation.
We maintain a busy day surgery service and outpatient clinic with our both own consultants providing treatment in addition to specialist consultants who visit daily during the week and provide a range of specialist services.
