Description The Role We are on the lookout for a Reliability Engineer to join our team and you can be based in Christchurch. You will have a key focus on identifying and managing asset reliability risks that could have an impact to the operations as well allowing for cost effective maintenance. This role will assist with preventative maintenance activities to ensure we are doing the right work on the right asset at the right time.
The main responsibilities of this role include Maximise equipment availability, extend equipment life and enable cost effective maintenance Accountable for managing risk in relation to the strategic objectives of health and safety, asset capability, quality and production Implementing, maintaining and continuously improving peoples mind sets though coaching stakeholders in reliability and asset management systems. Accountable for the design, installation and commissioning of new assets to maximise life cycle costs. Support Capital projects with the design process, ensuring that a RAMS approach is undertaken while owning line reliability modelling.
Ensure that preventative maintenance schedules and asset documentation is incorporated into our EAM Asset Management System and Sharepoint. Skills and Experience We are looking for a switched-on engineer with experience in a similar role. You will have a keen eye for continuous improvement and strong problem solving.
You will also have the ability to make prompt and clear decisions, take responsibility for projects and have the right skills to build strong relationships. To be considered for this role you will require You will ideally have 10 years or more of a combination of on-the-job and professional engineering experience in an industrial setting such as Dairy, Meat Processing, FMCG, Timber, Mining, or a similar field. Previous experience in Machine Line Modelling.
