__________ HEALTH RESEARCH SOUTH DUNEDIN SCHOOL OF MEDICINE About our team/M te tma Health Research South (HRS) is the entity responsible for the integrity of the health research conducted within the joint research environment of the Dunedin School of Medicine (DSM) and Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Southern. Operating out of the DSMs Office of the Dean, HRS promotes and approves the arrangements for undertaking research within this joint environment and also takes on the role of research office for Health NZ Southern. The role/Te mahi As a Research Administrator, you will provide high level, effective and efficient support to HRS including financial administration, to enhance and safeguard the research performed in the DSM and Health NZ Southern.

Key tasks of the role include: Managing the processes for distributing HRS funds and other funding rounds facilitated by HRS. Accurate and timely entry of information into databases. Administrative support to relevant Research Committees.

Compiling accurate and timely monthly reports to various groups including the HRS Board. Monitoring and administration of Health NZ Southern research accounts and reporting to HRS Manager and Board. Administrative support for the HRS Manager and Board.

Maintaining a system of quality improvement and good practice in the administrative functions of the office. Managing archiving of completed research projects. Providing support to workshops and events that celebrate Health NZ Southern and DSM research activity.

Working as an effective team member with others engaged in research administration within the University of Otago and Health NZ Southern. You contribute positively as part of a team and can develop and maintain effective working relationships in a variety of situations with a variety of individuals.

Successful candidates will also have: Experience in an administrative environment. Computer literacy and technical proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel. Experience in financial administration (desirable).

A Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience (desirable). An interest in health research. Confidence to navigate unfamiliar online systems.

A professional, accountable, service-oriented approach. The ability to take responsibility for own work and to plan and work within set time frames. The ability to accept and respond positively to change.

An understanding of, or the ability to acquire an understanding of, regulations and policies. Further details/Proko This is a permanent, part-time (30 hrs, 0.8FTE) position, located in Dunedin.
