About the role We're looking for a Risk & Assurance Lead to strengthen our operational risk, financial crime, and Line 2 assurance practices. You'll ensure alignment with our risk appetite, influence risk culture, and provide expert guidance across the Society.
Youll lead risk engagement with senior leaders and committees, support Line 1 functions, and champion strong risk management practices. Key responsibilities include overseeing our assurance strategy, delivering the annual Line 2 Assurance Plan, maintaining regulatory compliance, and managing our Enterprise Risk Management System. Youll also oversee risk procedures and drive a robust fraud prevention program across all operations.
About you: 10 years in Enterprise/Operational Risk (financial services or insurance) Strong regulatory knowledge (COFI, Financial Advice, IPSA, FSCUA) Experienced in Line 2 assurance and risk methodologies Skilled in executive and regulatory reporting Proficient with Protecht risk system Strong data analysis and risk mitigation capabilities Trusted leader through change Excellent communicator and relationship builder Analytical, independent, and cross-functional collaborator Manages multiple priorities effectively Clear thinker with strong presentation skills Results-focused and detail-oriented Ngkau nui. hurutanga.
