About the job: Due to significant growth opportunities, we are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team, based in Christchurch or Auckland, reporting to the National Bid Manager. You will be an integral part of a high performing bid team. At the core of the role is estimating for three waters maintenance tenders, preparing tender quotations and price estimates for long term contracts.
As a successful Senior Estimator , you will play a pivotal role in helping Citycare Water secure new water contracts nationwide to add to our portfolio. What youll need: At least 10 years of experience scoping and generating estimates and quotations within the construction industry or water sector would be advantageous. To have the skills to be responsible for all aspects of producing accurate and detailed estimates and building up tender rates, including supply chain management.
Knowledge of the supply chain. Understanding of local government tendering processes. Competence in using estimating software (training provided).
Experience generating complex priced proposals, including multi-faceted three waters maintenance and operations contracts. Ideally, have in-depth knowledge of the water sector and industry knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in this field. Degree-qualified in relevant technical or commercial discipline, but equivalent experience is also acceptable.
Your sound commitment to HSE, quality assurance, alignment with Citycare Waters values and a commitment to upholding Te Mana O te Wai will allow you to be successful in this role. All preferred candidates will be required to complete preemployment checks to the employers satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
