Te kwhiringa | The Opportunity Reporting to our Tendering & Estimating Manager, youll work with a highly competent tendering team who bring a range of experiences and expertise across the Transport and Infrastructure sector. You will be responsible for developing accurate estimates for a variety of bids with a focus on project work and maintenance contracts.

Your main focus is to prepare accurate tenders and quotations, ensuring competitiveness within the marketplace whilst enhancing the companys profitability. This will include all aspects of bid pricing including analysis of tender documentation, determination of current market rates for trades and services, asset assessment, identification of subcontractor requirements and first principle pricing. You will work with the wider tendering team to achieve the above outcomes and ensure compliance with Downer Governance processes and procedures.

This will include liaising with internal financial analysts, Business Development and Operational staff to ensure bids are priced in accordance with current operating procedures, market conditions and comply with approval gates, as set by the overarching bid governance. Upon award of a contract, the Estimator will work closely with Business Development and Operational staff to ensure that all pertinent information relating to the bid is transferred in a professional and timely manner. This is a Full Time, Permanent opportunity preferably based at the Downer Penrose depot, but may also be based in one of the regional depots.
