How you will contribute We are currently seeking a passionate Senior Human Resource Advisor to join our ANZ HR team on a part time basis (30 hours a week), based at one of our Auckland Sites. Reporting into the Director Human Resources - APAC, this role will develop and support high performance people initiatives and practices for the ANZ region across all business units.

This will be achieved through the provision of professional HR advice, interpreting and applying New Zealand employment legislation, awards and industrial agreements, along with coaching our leaders on industrial relations best practice. Key responsibilities include: Partner with business leaders to provide coaching and support, empowering them to manage complex people-related challenges and drive high-performance teams. Offer HR generalist support on performance management, grievances, investigations, and separations, ensuring compliance and fostering a positive culture.

Lead initiatives to implement organizational and people development programs that align with Valmonts values, strategies, and objectives. Provide leadership support on workforce capability, succession planning, and recruitment to achieve business outcomes aligned with organizational goals. Use industrial relations expertise to interpret New Zealand employment legislation, ensuring best practices and coaching leaders on compliance.

Partner with HR teams in Australia and New Zealand to coordinate HR processes, including remuneration and performance reviews, aligning with business priorities. Frequent travel to Palmerston North and Christchurch facilities and AUS sites when required. Support the cultivation of a proactive and collaborative work environment, driving employee engagement and ensuring alignment between people strategies and business objectives.

About you Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated success in a business partnering or HR generalist role, providing strategic HR support in a dynamic environment. Proven experience in Organizational Development and change management, with a strong ability to drive transformation initiatives.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence, and engage effectively with stakeholders and leaders at all levels. In-depth experience in Industrial Relations, with a track record of offering practical and actionable advice on complex employment relations issues. Experience working in a manufacturing or blue-collar environment is highly desirable, with a stro.
