As a core function of this support is our highly motivated Finance Group, providing a range of financial, planning and procurement services to customers across the two organisations. M te tnga |About the role: In this exiting and diverse role you will have the opportunity to: Develop and deliver effective procurement strategies that align with organisational goals and support successful project outcomes. Support all stages of the procurement lifecycle, including planning, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award.
Provide expert advice on commercial and contract matters, helping resolve supplier issues and supporting strong contract performance. Build and maintain a capable supplier base to ensure quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery across a range of projects. Analyse spend and market trends to inform strategic decision-making and proactively manage procurement risks.
Drive continuous improvement by enhancing procurement processes, systems, and tools to increase efficiency and ensure good governance. T kete |What you will bring to the role: As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will need to bring a flexible mindset and a can-do attitude. Your CV will clearly demonstrate the following: Background in public sector procurement and management of end-to-end procurement processes, including requirements gathering, tendering, evaluation and contract negotiation.
Experience leading government procurement and contract management activities. Solid experience in negotiation, a knowledge of contract development and implementation. A flexible, results-driven and collaborative approach coupled with a solution focused mindset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to create and manage effective procurement strategies. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and engage stakeholders at all levels. Advanced negotiation skills, with the ability to handle challenging conversations while maintaining strong relationships.
